March: Historic Entrance Stairs project – Temporary Public Entrance
The Stevens Memorial Library’s Historic Entrance Stairways Project is underway. The Historic Entrance is closed for the duration of the project. The Temporary Public Entrance is on Greene Street. The adjacent lawn is a construction zone, fenced for safety. The Library hours remain the same. What’s happening? The Historic Entrance Stairways are an important feature of the Library’s façade, part of its 1907 construction. Some repairs have been done over the years, however, the current issues with the stairs and brickwork require more than a repair this time.
