  1. Use the button above when you are ready to make a Visit appointment.
  2. Each person regardless of age requires a separate appointment.
  3. Visitors must be 13 years or older to come into the Library unaccompanied by an adult. Children under 13 remain with their adult at all times.
  4. You may select only one purpose for each visit: browsing, computers/printing, copying/scanning. Please read the Appointment Type Guide below.
  5. Pick an available 30 minute appointment time. In order to serve as many as possible, there currently is a limit of one visit per day.
  6. Please bring your library card to your scheduled appointment.
  7. Please arrive at your assigned time for the check-in process. No one will be let in until the appointment time begins.
  8. Appointments enter the Library through the lower lobby entrance on Middlesex Street.
  9. Please maintain social distance by following the sidewalk marks when lining up to be admitted.
  10. Once admitted to the Library, you will have 30 minutes to accomplish your reason for visiting.

  12. When in the Library, follow all COVID-19 safety protocols:
    • Masks are required for all people ages 2 and older. If you are not able to wear a mask for medical reasons,
please contact the Library at 978-688-9505 ext. 42016 to make a special appointment.
    • A mask must cover both nose and mouth while in the Library or waiting to be admitted.
    • Maintain social distance from staff and fellow patrons.
    • Please follow all directional markers and arrows to move through the Library.
  13. The Library rooms, like all buildings, have occupancy limits.
Your appointment is for a specific purpose and area of the Library; please remain in that area until leaving to insure safety for all others. Ask a staff member if you need assistance.
  14. Please exit through the Historic Entrance. If you need an exit without stairs, please let a staff member know to make arrangements.

Visits are limited to the area of your appointment to meet COVID-19 occupancy limits. Visiting another area requires a separate appointment. If coming with another person, each person’s appointment may select a different  area; for instance if an adult and a Teen (13 or older) come together, they may select different browsing areas: 1 for Adult Browsing and 1 for Teen Browsing. (We cannot guarantee that the same time slots will be available.) Other options for selecting materials are the Online Catalog or use the Reader Request form for a librarian to help you select materials.

  • Adult Browsing – Includes the fiction, non-fiction, large print, DVDs, and audiobooks. Please use the aisles to move between these areas.
  • Teen Browsing – Teen Room
  • Children’s Browsing – A Children’s collection has been made on the top floor. The Children’s Room is closed until further notice.
Upon request, staff will retrieve materials still in the Children’s Room.
  • Photocopying / Scanning –  Basic photocopying needs. If printing from online or a flash drive, choose Computer/Printing. If scanning to email, choose Computer/Printing (a flash drive is required).
    • The Library is unable to make change for photocopying. Please bring change or bills under $5.00.
  • Computer / Printing – Internet access and other online access, including printing from online or a flash drive, or scanning to email.
