We are continuing to offer Curbside Pickup. Read about that here. Please note, all holds must go through our Curbside Pickup Service. If you have items available for pickup and are making an appointment for a library visit, we encourage you to coordinate a curbside pickup appointment before or after your library visit appointment. You will not be able to retrieve your items during the library visit appointment.

HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

 

 

 

 

If you already know what Library materials you would like to checkout, please use the
Online Catalog to place a hold on them and use our Curbside Pickup process.Read more about Curbside Pickup here.

  1. Use the button below or call the Library at 978-688-9505 ext 42016.
  2. You must be 13 years or older to come into the library unaccompanied
  3. You may select one purpose for each visit: browsing, computers/printing, copying/scanning. Please check the appointment type guide below.
  4. Pick an available 30 minute appointment time. In order to serve as many as possible, there currently is a limit of one visit per day.
  5. Please bring your library card to your scheduled appointment.
  6. Please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment for the check-in process. Late arrivals may not be able to be admitted.
  7. Appointments enter the Library through the lower lobby entrance on Middlesex Street.
  8. Please maintain social distance by following the sidewalk marks when lining up to be admitted.
  9. Once admitted to the Library, you will have 30 minutes to accomplish your reason for visiting.
  10. Library staff are on hand throughout the building to assist you. Please ask if you have any questions.
  11. When in the Library, you will be expected to follow all safety protocols:
    • Maintain social distance from staff and fellow patrons.
    • Wear a mask at all times, covering both your nose and mouth.
    • Masks are required for all people ages 2 and older. If you are not able to wear a mask for medical reasons,
      please contact the Library at 978-688-9505 ext. 42016 to make a special appointment.
    • Please follow all directional markers and arrows to move through the Library.
  12. The Library rooms, like all buildings, have occupancy limits.
    Your appointment is for a specific purpose and area of the Library; please remain in that area until leaving to insure safety for all others
  13. Please exit through the Historic Entrance. If you need an exit without stairs, please let a staff member know to make arrangements.

APPOINTMENT TYPES

 

 

 

 

Please note that it is not possible to browse in more than one section in a single appointment because of occupancy limits. Please book a separate appointment for each area.Individuals over 13 years may have separate appointments. For instance, an adult would book an appointment for themself
and another for their Teen. (We cannot guarantee that the same time slots will be available.)

Other options for selecting materials are the Online Catalog or use the Reader Request form for a librarian to help you select materials. Separate appointments must be booked.

  1. Adult Browsing – Includes the fiction, non-fiction, large print, DVDs, and audiobooks. Please use the aisles to move between these areas.
  2. Teen Browsing – Teen Room
  3. Children’s Browsing – A Children’s collection has been made on the top floor. The Children’s Room is closed until further notice.
    Upon request, staff will retrieve materials still in the Children’s Room
  4. Photocopying / Scanning – Please note that this does not include computer printing. Printing from online or a flash drive
    requires a computer appointment.

    • The Library is unable to make change for photocopying. Please bring change or bills under $5.00.
  5. Computer / Printing – Internet access and other online access, including printing from online or a flash drive.
    The Library cannot provide flash drives or headphones.

As of June 15th, 2020 we are offering Curbside Pickup.

The Library is still currently closed to the general public. We are working closely with the town of North Andover to build a reopening timeline in accordance with all state and town guidelines. We will update here, so check back frequently. We are looking forward to coming back and serving our community safely.
