New Phone System @ Library
The Stevens Memorial Library has a new phone system. Installed on Thursday, January 28th, the system gives callers an opportunity to connect directly with Departments or staff members without being transferred. The system includes a voice mail system so that callers may leave messages for staff who are on another line or away from their desks.
Directory:
- Press 0 (zero) at any time during the message to be connected to a staff member who can help direct the call to the appropriate person or department
- Press 1 (one) for hours and directions
- Press 2 (two) for the main Circulation Desk (renew materials reserve museum passes)
- Press 3 (three) for the Reference Desk (research assistance or requesting materials)
- Press 4 (four) to be connected to the Children’s Room (story times, book requests and other programs for children)
- Press 5 for the Library Administration sub-directory which includes the Director, the Assistant Director, Library Department Heads and other administrative personnel and activities
